Manager, Partner Relations
Alex Chandra comes from a social work background with over 10 years of experience across diverse nonprofit settings. After spending many years working in frontline service and community development, she shifted her focus to creating wider change by supporting organizations of diverse sizes and sectors in developing equitable and accessible work cultures. Her recent projects have included the development and facilitation of DEI and allyship trainings for both non-profit and for-profit partners, along with policy research and advocacy efforts. Her professional passions include network-building, organizational development, and diversity and equity.
Alex is an advocate for harm reduction, housing rights, and community empowerment. She finds the most rewarding part of her work is the ability to form meaningful relationships with people from all different walks of life, as well as equipping partners with the tools and knowledge they require to do their best work and create positive impacts as leaders in their own communities. She believes the key to success is creating user-centred learning experiences, meeting people wherever they’re at in their diversity and inclusion journey, and using creative, engaging, and collaborative problem-solving.
Outside of work, Alex loves spending time in nature, and volunteers her spare time in animal rescue. She enjoys travelling, hiking, photography, and road trips. Her bucket list includes cave diving, completing a thru-hike, and learning to farm.
