We are excited to announce the CCDI Community of Practice events will be taking place in person and virtually throughout the fall months of October and November. 

 

Topic

Relational approaches to sustaining DEIA: Identity, interconnection, and conflict resolution 

Join us for a dynamic and transformative community of practice where we will explore the pivotal role identity, interconnection, and conflict resolution play in building pathways toward sustaining and strengthening diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility (DEIA). Through collaborative convening and resource sharing, participants will have opportunities to develop critical reflection tools, learn the languages of conflict resolution, and find resources through collective wisdom. Relational approaches can help us centre a dynamic, interconnected, future-oriented approach to DEIA, rooted in human rights and justice – a future where everyone belongs. 

 

Learning objectives

Participants will develop the following learning outcomes from our Community of Practice sessions: 

• Cultivate a deeper understanding of identity and intersectionality in the workplace. 
• Embrace diverse languages and approaches to conflict resolution.  
• Co-create a collective interconnected map of DEIA's strengths, challenges, resources and future actions. 

 

Who can attend 

This session is open to individuals at all levels of an organization interested in using dialogue as a tool to support diversity, equity and inclusion efforts.  

 

Delivery and format 

CCDI Community of Practice events are delivered virtually and in-person utilizing the same content and delivery methods for all sessions. The event experience will vary based on attendees' participation levels in each session. Due to the experiential nature of these sessions, much of the time will be dedicated to engagement, practice, and activities.
