Associate
Karen Diaz is an accomplished consultant, trainer and facilitator of organizational performance, transformation, and diversity & inclusion initiatives. With more than 25 years’ experience supporting organizations with their growth and development, she has worked with managers and employees in the public, private and non-profit sectors throughout Canada and globally. She advises, mentors, and educates leaders and team members on the value of inclusive leadership.
Karen works with organization to develop their inclusion, diversity, and equity roadmap. This includes supporting organizations clarify their D&I statements, working with D&I committee, designing, and delivering of various D&I initiatives. She has a strong understanding of inclusion, anti racism, diversity, unconscious bias and equity opportunities and challenges with a global perspective.
Karen has international experience, having worked with senior government and private sector officials in India, the Russian Federation, Nicaragua, Honduras, the Caribbean, and Romania. She leverages her 15 years of international experience with CIDA, and has collaborated with the World Bank as a Gender Advisor on projects in the Russian Federation, the Commonwealth Secretariat, UNDP , and the Caribbean development bank enabling her clients to have a much broader and strategic outlook on diversity and inclusion in the workplace and integrated in to project programs. .
Karen has facilitated over 800 training sessions. Her facilitated sessions provide participants with an opportunity to embrace the multi-faceted realities of diversity; be it gender, cultural, religious, or generational diversity and how they impact the organization. She provides strategies that are aligned to both the organization’s goals, team and individual employee’s development plans – leveraging the diversity of competencies of the current and future talent – a winning approach to meeting the interconnected nature of the new global economy.
