Our Community of Practice events are interactive sessions designed to meet the needs and interests of diversity and inclusion, human rights and human resources professionals. The sessions are also of great benefit to people who don’t work in these fields, diversity champions and/or leading diversity councils or networks.
Led by CCDI’s senior team of diversity and inclusion professionals, these interactive sessions blend a presentation with roundtable discussions that allow for experiential learning from your peers. The sessions provide you with essential information that will help you build increased diversity and inclusion in your organizations.
The theme of the events changes monthly, and covers such topics as:
Guided discussions help participants to analyze a specific challenge participants are facing within their organizations. Participants at similar levels in their diversity journey are placed in groups to share experiences and lessons learned. This exchange helps you to share knowledge of how to develop a flourishing diversity strategy on a fixed budget. You will walk away with practical tools to implement inside your organizations to help you keep the momentum going.
Events are held twice per year in 16 cities across Canada, and for the balance of 2017 are free of charge for all attendees. If your city is not listed, please contact us. To see a list of upcoming events and to register, please click here.
“The Community of Practice events are an amazing opportunity to network with individuals from other organizations who share a passion to build diverse and inclusive workplaces. We learn so much through networking and these events are a great way to continue our learning, make new connections and keep us energized to go back to our workplaces to continue our journey.”
